Orthotics and Night Splints Reduce Chronic Foot Pain
“My name is Ann, I’m from Rancho Mirage, CA. I first came here about December of 2013, and I have been regularly seen since then. When I first came in it was unbelievable pain. In fact, I walked in on the side of my foot. I could put no pressure on the bottom of my foot.
Dr. Danciger prescribed different things and he told me the procedures that we would be doing to correct it. The first thing was to change my shoes that had no support - he could take the shoe and just bend it. He suggested getting an orthotic made for the foot, which I did, and I have lived with those orthotics ever since. I cannot do without them. They are just the best things for my feet. In fact, I got new shoes recently, and I took the orthotics to the shoe store to be sure that [they] would fit into the new shoe. It’s that important to me.
He also suggested I wear a night brace, which I do. It has not been as comfortable as the orthotic, in fact, usually during the night, I take it off at some time unconsciously, because I wake up with it off. I don’t even realize that I’ve taken it off, but I do put it on every single night, thinking that it’s certainly doing something.
All in all, the treatment has been wonderful, it has been painless, and it has been successful. I am so thankful to him for helping me this way.”
