“My name is Lori, I’ve been a patient of Dr. Danciger’s since early 2012. After a traumatic spinal injury, I had three major spinal surgeries and I’ve experienced a lot of lower leg neuropathy - I have bilateral foot drop. I do wear prostheses on both my legs to help me walk. About two months ago, I started experiencing a lot more nerve pain than I’d had prior, and I had an appointment with Dr. Danciger and we just discussed that. He offered me an option of decompressing the nerves. He said we could try this laser therapy, and that it was another option. I preferred it over the surgical option because it’s less invasive, and I’d still have the surgical option, if I didn’t find it satisfactory.
I was hoping to get more movement to my foot – I haven’t experienced a lot of change in that, but the change that I most appreciate is the change in the pain. The nerve pain has improved probably 70% over what I was experiencing. I’ve gone from needing narcotics four to five days a week, down to one or maybe two. It has been such a relief and a blessing. I would certainly recommend anybody who wants to give it a shot to absolutely do so. I know I experienced the pain relief a lot sooner than was expected, but it has just been such a blessing.”
